Shawn Filer was born in Seattle, Washington in 1978 and has lived in the area his entire life. Shawn's childhood was
split between boating, the tennis court, and shadowing his Family's Insurance Agency and Real Estate Businesses.
Not only is Shawn a third generation Realtor, but he is also a proud third generation graduate of the University of
Washington. Shawn concentrated his studies on business and law, and spent
a semester at Cornell University studying architecture prior to earning his degree in Marketing in 2001.
Prior to practicing Real Estate full time, Shawn was one of the Northwest's highest producing Insurance Agents
managing more than $500 Million in commercial and residential property. During three of his four years he was
number one in sales and procured a diverse portfolio of clients including several high net-worth Families and well
known local businesses like Diamond Parking. In 2006, Shawn's entrepreneurial spirit and his passion for Real
Estate led him to found The Filer Group - originally a premier office with Coldwell Banker Bain and now proudly
affiliated with Northwest Group Real Estate.

In late 2009, Shawn was recruited by Northwest Group Real Estate owner Nick Glant to help create a boutique-styled Luxury division located in
Downtown Seattle. Shawn and Nick launched The Luxury Collection in February of 2010 and have been rewriting the book on Real Estate service,
sales, and marketing ever since.
So far in 2010, the experienced and energetic Luxury Collection Team has accounted for an astounding 15% of all sales above $1.2 million... An
amazing feet for a group of only 10 Agents. In addition, Shawn Filer, along with two other Luxury Collection Agents, is currently in the Top 20

On a personal note... Shawn currently lives in Madison Park with his wife Jenna, daughter Ava, and their two golden retrievers (Payton & Harley).
